I have just bought a Marantz dv7600. I have been trying to get my rc5200 to learn the IR code but they don't seem to work. I did get the on/off and open/close to work but that was all - any thoughts..

Did you try the learning tips in the FAQ?

Glenn,

Are you using the latest version of Touch Screen Setup and is the Firmware in the remote up to date? Not sure if this is the cause but it can't hurt to have the latest versions. You can download these from the Marantz website under support. I didn't bother to look at what the FAQ section had to say so this might be redundant info but some simple things that help when you are trying to learn codes into the RC5200 are to make sure you set the remotes screen sleep time to the max so it doesn't shut off in the middle of learning or a download. Also, make sure you are not trying to learn codes in a bright light environment. FL lights and direct sunlight can flood the IR receiver on the remote thus confusing the learing process. Of course if you are familiar with how to enter the IR code directly in Touch Screen set up or aliasing you can just download proven codes from this web site and give those a try. All of this is of course assuming you are using Touch Screen Setup editing software with your PC.
