I am reprogramming a customers old RU890 (pronto) remote and getting a strange fault.

On his tv page ( for a pioneer 43" plasma) we have the numbers buttons for channels.
I have set up a macro so that when he selects 'TV' on home page, it selects amp input.....etc and aliases to channel 1 button from tv page, but channel 1 will not work in a macro. If you put in channel 2 instead it works 100%. The number 1 button also works perfectly if you just hit it instead of a macro, so its not that the code isnt taught correctly.

i am also getting exactly the same problem on his sky+ page, again button 1.

A macro for sky news (eg 501). the macro fires the '5' and the '0', but not the '1', but if you hit '1' button after it works ok.Again '502' works but not '501'

I would appreciate any help/thoughts

cheers

I've seen this once or twice before. First I'd try extending the macro delay before the 1 to around 1 sec. This will absolutely guarantee that the code will or will not work in the macro.

Second, I'd try relearning the code. It could be just enough off that it works individually, but not in a macro. It would also be a good idea to post that code here and let John or one of our other experts look at it.

Third, you could try sticking a delay at the very end of the macro (last step). Sounds weird, but under some circumstances it works.

Of course there's the infamous "aw sh*t", and you aliased to the wrong button in your macro ;-)

Cheers for the reply.

Unfortunately its not as simple as the "aw sh*t option", i've remade the macro several times.

I've already tried re-teaching codes and different delay lengths etc so its not that either :( I haven't yet tried the delay after the code tho', will try that and let you know.

The hex code i have for sky+, number 1 is :- 0000 0073 0000 0018 0060 001f 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 001f 0010 001f 001f 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 001f 0010 0010 001f 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 001f 1168

if that is what you meant by posting code here.

cheers
