For the second time, the touchscreen on my prontopro just died. The picture is still there, it still beeps when I reset it, it just doesn't respond to any touch.

Anybody else experience this or know of a solution???

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try reflashing the firmware -- on the toolbar select "tools" and then update remote. You might also try recalibrating the screen. If these don't work, either it's a loose connection inside the remote (unlikely) or the screen is dead.

Sounds like a loose cable inside. You might try http://www.joey6p.com to get some pointers on how to disassemble and check the cables. Please note that this site describes the process for the 1000/2000 remotes but the approach is very similar.
