I foolishly dropped my TSU 2000. The only visible result is that the screen is blank. The backlight works, all of the touch screen functions still work (I can sort of remember where they are located) and all of the buttons work properly.

I removed the batteries for a couple of days. I opened the case and found nothing really apparent like something disconnected or broken.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to start?

Buy a T6 Torx wrench and open the thing up and check to ensure that the cables for the screen did not jar loose. Check out this site.

I have done that. There is no visible evidence of anything amiss. I probably should have been more clear about the screen appearance.

The screen is "black". The backlight works and the touch screen function works as well. So, CCF information is getting to the screen, but the contrast function is missing. Rotating the contrast pot produces no change whatsoever.

I'm wondering if the contrast pot is broken internally. Alternatively, something else in the contrast "chain" is defective. (Wish I had a circuit diagram!!!).
