My Pronto TSU2000 will not learn the IR codes from Samsung SIR-S4080R Directv/DVR. Any Ideas on what to try.

The common problem is that you're learning to the wrong end of the pronto, the learning eye is on the rear of the remote.

Failing that being the problem, you could try the file section to see if the codes are availlable for that or a similar model. If you still want to learn, try some of the tips and tricks to learning IR codes in the features section.

Yes, do short button presses on the OEM remote to learn. Don't press and hold unless absolutely necessary.

The FAQ has tips about learning. You might want to check it out as there's much more there than just info about learning codes.
