Thanks everyone for looking into this for me. A couple of points of clarification. The T2 that I referred to is the RTI remote that I use. Many years ago, when I first got the T2, I used to be able to access Pronto ccf and hex codes using ProntoEdit (not the 4.0 version). It's been awhile since I've done this, but I can't seem to be able to get to the Krell HTS 7.1 Pronto hex codes to copy to my T2. At least not the way that I remembered, which is to use ProntoEdit (in this case 4.0) software to display the Device. Then on the right hand side, there would be the buttons that I would see. I would double left click on the button, which (I thought) would display the hex codes for that command. I would then copy the hex codes from Pronto and paste on to my RTI T2 remote hex window for that command.
So, I'm not sure if why this doesn't work anymore. Maybe the ccf file that I received is bad. I sent John a copy to see if he had any luck.

There is nothing wrong with the CCF. There is nothing wrong with ProntoEdit4. I thought I explained the issue in (the bottom half of) post 12 of this thread.

I assume the program for RTI cannot understand the condensed form of Pronto Hex for RC5 (the form that begins with 5000 instead of 0000). Maybe some other expert here can confirm that assumption about RTI.

So getting the Pronto Hex you want is best done with my programs DecodeCCF and MakeHex. I may have time tomorrow to paste that Pronto Hex back to this thread. But before I do that, I'd like to know if whoever gave you that ccf prohibited you from publicly distributing information from its contents. If so then I'll need to base that Pronto Hex on one of the similar CCF files posted at RC rather than on exactly the one you sent.

Thanks John. I'll try it when I get home. I don't know anything about DecodeCCF and MakeHex, but I'll copy down the link you provided on Post 12 and go on from there.

John:

Got the HTS2 hex codes with no problem. However, that remote does not contain the discrete Power On, Power Off, Z1 On, Z1 Off, Z2 On, and Z2 Off. These are the commands that I need to build the macro so I don't have to figure out the state of the HTS device. So if you can figure out how to get the hex codes for the other device, that would be great. There is no prohibitation concerning publicly distributing its content. Thanks.

I probably should have suggested earlier that you ask some RTI expert whether there is a better way to import RC5 signals than via Pronto Hex. There may be subtle issues in using these signals that might be avoidable by some different import method.

But meanwhile. There are two sets of RC5 signals in your file. I translated the first set:

Thanks John for your help. There are more commands than I am even aware of. I will have to figure out which is which.

I barely understand what the device is at all, so all I have for command names are what was stored in the CCF. I noticed there were commands such as C1 where multiple different commands have approximately the same name and names where I can't begin to guess what the function might be.

Hopefully the experimentation to find out what they really do won't be too hard.

It would be friendly to post back to this thread corrections for functions where the name I got from that CCF was unclear or wrong, so people who find this thread when searching on the same device will benefit from your testing.
