I have this dvd player and am trying to learn the pause button onto my marantz rc5200. The problem i am having is that the pause button is also the button for an effect called "strobe", if you hold the pause button too long the dvd player goes into this strobe mode rather than pausing. I have tried several times to learn the code by pressing the pause button for various lengths of time but cannot get the learned code to pause the player, only to go into this "strobe" mode. I have also tried downloading all of the ccfs for this player from the files section and using the pause buttons from each of them, with the same result. Has anyone else got any idea how to fix this? Thanks in advance,
Chris

Setup your RC5200 in learn mode then do a very short single tap on the Pause button and see if that will work for a learn.
However, it seems that you've got an issue with Pause on your player. Please post the hex data for the pause code that puts the player into "strobe" mode and we can see if there's anything we can do with it. Perhaps a slight tweak will make it work on the RC5200 in a way that is acceptable.

I had been trying to learn the ir in t.s.s., when I tried it tonight on the remote it worked with just a very short tap on the pause button. Thanks for the suggestion,
Chris.
