I have looked for months for a CCF for my pronto 1000 to control my dp-301. I have tried just about every CCF for dish network and nothing works!! Please, does anyone have any codes that work?

You haven't been looking carefully enough. There are a bunch of CCFs in the file section that will work with that model DSS receiver - including one with the specific model name under the appropriately named "Dish Network" section of the "Pronto" file area.

There should also be no problem learning the original remote with a TSU1000 as a last resort - but as I said there is no shortage of codes/files for this player.

The 301 will work with the same codes as the 501, 508, 510, 511, 522, 701, 921, 6000, 2700, etc...

Well I wish it was that easy. I have tried over 16 different CCF's now from the pronto/dish network download page and none work. I don't have the original remote, so I can't learn the codes.

Have you tried any CCFs/commands using a different ID? Is this your original unit or did you buy it used or refurbished, etc? It might very well be set to an alternate ID. Because search as long as you want and you'll only find that model indeed uses the same IR as many (most) of the others.

Try the Power Discretes in the Discretes download section one at a time.
