Not much you can do at this point. Sony doesn't always include discretes, even though they're supposed to.

this is a real shame, it's really annoying that i couldn't get any helpful info out of Sony, at least if they told me there defiantly isn't a discrete off code i could stop looking for one.

Yeah, I was pretty embarrassed when I realized that my Sony System Off code was taking up about a gigabyte of storage space on THAT computer. I have not needed it for about three years, and I never looked at hex back then, so it was a bit of a surprise.

But I knew someone would come through with a shorter code, and meanwhile, what the hack*, that one worked fine for me on several remotes!

*(sometimes typos say more than you wanted to, or say it better)
