I'm wondering if the pronto has some kind of mouse control?

Search for "Mouse Mode" and you will find that it does have built-in mouse control that only works with a Philips or All4One IR keyboard which is no longer available.
Other folks have approached this by learning 4 directions from an IR mouse. Then, simply provide a 4-way cursor on the pronto screen and voila, you have a mouse. However, you should realize that doing complex actions like Shift-Mouse Drag, Alt-Left-Click, etc require advanced knowledge of IR protocols and are not easily done by the uninformed user.

More info here: [Link: remotecentral.com]Basically you can't buy the right equipment for use with Mouse Mode any more. I still think it would be a great official accessory to the Pronto, especially with the popularity of HTPCs now. A touchpad-ish proportional control would be a lot better than merely replicating up/down/left/right.

One of the last things that Jon Armstrong worked on was decoding my IR Keyboard and Mouse. We spent an entire saturday afternoon on the phone decoding the mouse signals with the dedidicated help of John Fine as well.
I have since put together a rather simply directional mouse screen on an RC5000i that I have not yet converted for my 7000.
The keyboard/mouse combination is model ACK570 and I use it for my home-brew media pc. If anyone is interested, I'd be willing to share the mouse CCF. Just email me.

Yes. Please share!
EDIT: I just realized that I've posted this in the wrong forum. It should be in the ProntoNG forum. My remote is a TSU 3000, from what I gather it does not have mouse mode anyhow?
Thank you for all your answers so far!
(@ Moderators, Could you please move this to the ProntoNG forum?)
