Your Pronto Answers served up in less than 1 hour!!!!

For future ref, see this site,

[Link: hifi-remote.com]

Specifically, this page.

[Link: hifi-remote.com]

You can get 4 discrete codes from the Pronto Files section (link below). Presumably, these are the ones you already have.

[Link: remotecentral.com]

To complete the set, you need Input C and Input D from the Sony Codes Page.

Here they are shipped right to your door. For future reference, you might want to learn to use MakeHex (Pronto Files section) and bookmark the site above, especially if you have lots o Sony Equipment.

Sorry to dig this one up, but does anyone have a HDMI discrete code for the HS20 and TSU-2000. I tried the HDMI code in someone's PCF, but its not translating correctly to a CCF.

Ad(thanks)vance.

Did you look at device 164 on this page?

On 06/10/2005, a new code was added. Just don't know which one.

[Link: hifi-remote.com]

From there, you can use makehex to gen the codeset.

Actually, the HS20 is a projector. Does this mean I should be using Device Code 84? If so, I see that code 111 is Input C, 112 is Input D, and then it jumps to 114. Can I assume 113 is Input E? I guess I'll have to generate the code and try it.

Are there any discrete codes for projector aspect ratio? (Normal, wide, zoom, zoom subtitile, etc.) I found the discrete codes for inputs, but not for aspect ratio. Thanks in advance.

Not that I've been able to find. There is a code that switches between all the aspect modes, and since I mostly do Anamorphic DVDs or HDTV, i don't use it that much.

Yeah, the "aspect ratio toggle" function is the only one I could find. Maybe I'll generate all of the Sony codes and see if there is one that has not yet been found. Is there an existing ccf or pcf with all of the Sony codes, or must it be generated from the info posted on hifi-remote.com?

Using MakeHex:

and IrPanels:
[Link: remotecentral.com]

it is easy to generate a CCF of all (128) commands for a given Sony protocol and device number.

Based on that projector data at hifi-remote.com it looks like you'd need to test both Sony15 protocol with device 84 and Sony20 protocol with device 26.42

John,

Thanks for your help. Your program made it easy to generate the CCF files. I'll give the codes a try and see if I can find the discrete commands.

In these situations, always start by testing a few ordinary commands (getting their numbers from that hifi-remote.com page). If those fail, you know something went wrong in creating the CCF and you shouldn't waste time testing the unknown commands.

Not sure about the HS51, but I tested all 128 codes for the HS20, and only the ones listed on the website seem to work. I find it interesting that Sony didn't add a DVI and HDMI discrete input code.

Quick update: I did a complete scan of all 256 code and found some new codes (hue, sharpness, color, status on / off / show, DDE toggle, picture mute toggle, etc.) However, I did not find any discrete codes for aspect raito. I guess using the User 1-3 presets is a close as you can get.

I submitted the PCF file with all of the codes to the files section here at RemoteCentral but it is not up yet. In the meantime, it can be downloaded from my webpage: [Link: carltonbale.com]

I guess I need to install a newer copy of ProntoEditNG. The one I have won't open your pcf file.

But even if I can open that, I expect digging out your discoveries will be a little tricky.

Do you happen to have any simple list of the functions you discovered: The Sony device number and the function number and meaning of each function you found that wasn't in the list at hifi-remote.
