Cannot seem to get my TSU2000 to learn a code. I programmed one about 4 years ago so I know I've done it. I have tried to learn codes from 2 remotes and I've tried to learn them on both my "new" TSU 2000 and my old one (which now has a crack in the screen but still works). If tried "learning" directly and thru the PC hookup. I always get a "fail" on the remote and a "timeout" on the PC.
What am I missing??

He's not kidding. I program these as part of my work and that has caught me.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

DOH!
That was it. I really could not remember that the "learn" eye was at the base!
Thanks! I was going nuts!

When all else fails RTFM!

You can download it from the files section here. For sure, the Marantz 5000i manual clearly shows a learn with pictures illustrating where the learning eye is.

And yes, after 2 hours of frustration when I first got my remote, I too figured this out but only after 2 hours of yelling and screaming to try and figure out why the damned thing would not learn my remote. 30 minutes to read the manual would have proved to be a better investment for me. However, the engineer who knows everything (read MALE) prevailed and I was stuck.
