Hey, could someone help me find IR codes for the Yamaha HTR5640 receiver. Yamaha told me I could also use RX-V440 codes. I need the raw pronto codes so I can dump them into Premise Home Control or a CCF with a program to pull out the codes for me. I'd really appreciate the help.

Thanks,
Bruce

Bruce, Try the RX-v800, RX-v900, or RX-V1 files from this site. Yamaha has been pretty good about keeping the same extended IR codes between receivers.

I finally got the codes I needed for the Yamaha. Except I can't find the code for Night Mode. It would be useful for the home automation. All the rest I either found or decoded with IR Tool with the Yamaha code pdf. Be aware that IR Tool 1.2 has a bug and it doesn't work with my model (HTR-5640 and probably most other Yamahas). I had to play guessing games to find out what was wrong and correct it. When I finish it I will post the IR code list for it.

The 5640 Is an RX-V440. No Need to reinvent the wheel. They are Identical receivers with different model numbers. They are just sold through different chains..........

Remote codes havebnt changed onYamaha receivers in qwuite some time (3-4 generations...) so any 20/30/40 series remote will work.

If you look at the yamaha website discription for the 5640, you'll find a couple places where the "Search and replace" missed the RX-V440 even.......

You can likely find what you need in the Classic Pronto Files section under the RX-V800 model (Equivalent to HTR 5280) or the RX-V1. Yamaha reuses the same IR codes across all their receivers. What you may find is that some of the function names are different.

Here are a few samples that should get you going.
