A client impulse-bought a couple of TSU6000s because they look cool and they have RF capability. Problem is, she is expecting unreal RF range -- about 60 feet to the main listening area, another 20 feet through a block wall to an outdoor area, and upstairs through poured concrete floors to a third area.

I have unused RG-6 runs to these areas. Is anyone aware of anything simple to implement that could extend the RF range of the 6000? I am presently getting much better range to the main listening area with a 1/4 wave length of exposed RG-6 core near that area, running on RG-6 to another 1/4 wave length of exposed RG-6 core near the RX77. This is totally passive, but this concept was used early on with analog cell phones to increase their range from inside a car, and it seems to work here.

Are there any off-the shelf amplifiers that could improve this, especially to the other areas? I know of cable RF amps that cover from 50 - 1000 mHz; if I use one of these, the question is, are filters available that would keep these amps from being overloaded with other signals in that range?

I do not have a meter capable of tuning 418 mHz, so I have to do this in the blind. That makes building the filters myself rather hard.

Thanks!
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
