I am looking for two case screws for my tsu-1000. I somehow lost one when I replaced my screen over a year ago, and now another one is missing. I tried some local shops with no luck, so if anyone could direct me in the proper direction, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance:)

btw, ever since I replaced my screen a while back, I hear a mild buzzing noise when the screen is activated and there are some dark contrast blotches around the edge of the screen. Does this seem to be the result of an improper install by any chance, or does it sound like a defective screen?

Buzzing: it's the backlight. Blotching: not the sign of a good screen... but the original screen on my TS-1000 started developing blotches some years ago.

Like Daniel said the buzzing is supposed to be there. It probably wasnt' as loud before on the old screen. However, as for the dark spots. You could try to take the screen out, turn it on with no pressure on the screen. If they go away, then I suggest to losen the screws surrounding the screen.

Hum, I'm pretty sure you can find similar screws with the same tread and length in any good hardware store. Doesn't have to be hex screws, any other head type would do. Remove the one you have left and bring it to the hardware store for match.

Maybe even one of those $1.99 sunglass repair kits from the drug store might work. They usually have an assortment of various size small screws.

Any tips on replacing the screen? I found the website that has step by step directions, but the more information the better. I ordered a new screen that should arive tommorow.

My father-in-law broke the screen on my TSU1000 last week. He was "lightly pressing" the upper right corner (home) and broke the screen. Anybody ever have the same experience?

I seem to recall a rash of those on the TSU2000 at one time, but nothing recent. Maybe it was something slowly developing over time until that crucial press...
