I can no longer download/upload to my RC9200 via my XP computer. Neither Tonto nor TouchScreenSetup can find it. However I also have a TSU1000 that Tonto and ProntoEdit can talk to just fine. So I think this means my computer configuration and cable is just fine, and the problem is with the RC9200. The RC9200 used to upload/download just fine, but it has been a few months since I had need to download to it.

The RC9200 is still under warranty, should I send it in for service or is there something else I should try first???

Make sure it is fully charged.

Also, try downloading a fresh copy of the firmware.

Dont forget to touch the screen just before you do a down/upload. This is so that the remote would be "awake".

I tried all of those suggestions. Looks like the RC9200 serial port is just flat dead. Firmware update fails because it can't reset the remote. I even tried accessing it via HyperTerm, no activity whatsoever. (I was able to access the TSU1000 via Hyperterm just like the FAQ said.)

Other than this serial port problem the RC-9200 works fine, except that I can't program it to control my new TV or DVD player :(. Guess I'll have to see how long the warranty repair takes.

Make sure that you do not have any firewalls blocking the port. Just turn them off while you are uploading or downloading to it.

If you're able to upload/download to another remote using the same physical serial port and cable but cannot upload/download to the RC9200, the problem lies with the remote. If you've tried the above, it sounds like it's service time.
