I went to the files section and got a great ccf file, but some of the components are different than mine, so I want to have my Pronto's new buttons "Learn" from me beaming my remotes at it. But in the ccf. UI that I downloaded to the pronto, it doesn't have the menu for "Use", "Learn", "Move", "Delete", etc. that I need to tap on to get it to "Learn" the beams from my remotes.

What is wrong and how do I get that menu without getting rid of the cool ccf I got?

Thanks,
~Markito

Go to the home page. I don't know if every model requires this, but it couldn't hurt. (I just tried it on a 6000 and it would come up from any panel.)

You can do this in the emulator just to try it out, if you want to. The emulator does not keep any such adjustments, so it can't hurt, either.

Hold your finger down for three seconds on the icon of the remote that is in the middle of the bar at the top of the screen. This should bring up a SETUP panel. Scroll through the panels until you find the box labeled MODE MENU. It will either say on or off, or have an X through it or not, depending on the model of the remote. If you cannot bring up the LEARN mode, then your remote will say MODE MENU OFF or it will have an X through it. Just touch that button and it will toggle. Then the little book will appear when you are back in the regular mode.

To get out of setup, just hit the home icon.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

The other posibility is that teh confiuration is Write Protected. Check the system properties(In ProntoEdit) of the remote and verify that "Configuration is write-protected" is unchecked.
