While trying to download to my tsu3000 it froze with "Philips Pronto" on the screen. Nothing works. I tried to reset it with the reset button and also removed the battery for an hour. I cannot upgrade the firmware because it will not connect with my computer. The philips tech was no help. He told me to remove the battery for 12 hours. I'm pretty sure this won't work. ANY HELP OUT THERE.

Like the philips tech said, remove the battery for at least 12 hours. The caps in the pronto can retain any amount of voltage for more than an hour. There for keeping min amount of power to the chip.

If you are still having trouble.

Connect the remote to the pc with the batteries out. Once you tried to connect and the pc is looking for the remote, reconnect the batteries. This will be a reset, which is what the computer is looking for anyways.
