I have searched the forum but can't seem to find and answer to my question. I currently have my remote hooked up via a Belkin USB to serial adapter and I am using Windows XP. I have made sure that the port is set to COM1. I am able to reflash the firmware on the remote, but I am not able to upload or download any .CCF files. I keep getting a device not detected or responding error message. I've used both PE 4.05 and Tonto to no avail. Any thoughts. Thanks!

Are you activating the Pronto screen when trying a download?

Yes...just before I try to communicate I wake-up the remote by pressing the light button.

The problem is with xp. Even though you don't have anything using com 1 XP has got bugs that prevent the edit software from Pronto to connect successfully. Go the control panel and under device manager remove com 1 from your system. Re-boot and it will be added back in and then you should be able to upload/download to your RC. I have to do this regularly with my XP system and Pronto TSU6000.

Let me know how it works.
