Tore,

I suspect that you have characters such as quotes (") or (') in one of your entries in the CSV file.
Please verify.

If you can't figure it out, use winzip to zip the CSV file and email it to me and I'll take a look but cannot guarantee a quick fix as it is the holiday season. I suspect that you may have some characters that are causing problems with the CSV.

Also, what version are you using? 2.0.0.0 or 2.0.0.1?

Lyndel,
I've tryed to find characters such as quotes (") or (') in the CSV file, and as fare as I can see, the whole file is full of them!?.......
I'm probably wrong, but.........

An CSV zipfile is emailed to you. And I'm using 2.0.0.0

THANK'S and a Merry Christmas!!

I've finally got the time to have a go with the new Supernudelist.

I've come up on two problems.

1) My MP3 collection is so large now that I can no longer have the track level detail.
I have in the past used a query to filter out track level for certain categories.
I'm not expecting help with this but I just wanted to get it off my chest.

2) I would love an option that allows you to add the list on the Macro side of the remote rather than the device side.

If the option is there and I missed it, then Sorry!!

Cheers,
Bruce.

Wow .. ya know what is sad ? I'm a Systems Administrator .. I live for technology .. but i HATE programing ! :) I've been trying to get this list going for a bit and it seems hopeless because the htm file that comes with it is written with a differnt audience in mind :)

Can anyone give me a fairly basic 1, 2, 3 to get this going ? Assume for the moment that I dont have a premade DVD list, and will be using the new Sony 300+1 DVD player ..

Help with SNL.

I have been using SNL for a while now with no problems. I currently export data created by my Nirvis CDJ software. So I do not have to type in all the data manually. However, this weekend I added about 20-30 more CD’s to my changers and now, after running SNL, I can no longer open up my CCF with pronto edit.

I have narrowed the problem down to music tracks. If I run SNL to go only to disc level, I have no problems at all. If I go to track level, can't open the ccf. Granted the track information is the majority of the data – but it worked when I had like 380 CD’s.

Currently I have about 410 CD’s in my list and over 5000 tracks.

Is this just too much information for proto-edit to handle? I am currently running the developer version of pronto edit, this will allow for my ccf file to go up to 16mb.

Also, are there any characters or text that I should be aware of that is not compatible with SNL? Maybe a (") or something that is messing it up?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I imagine the problem is that your CCF is too complex for pronto edit.
There is a download on the supernudelist site for pepupstack, this patches pronto edit to cope with more complex CCFs.
Alternatively you could use Tonto.

Hope this helps,
Bruce.

Hi
What happens when you try to open it? what sort of an error do you get.

Tom
P.S. what size is the CCF with ALL the data in it.

P.P.S.

Here are the available memory sizes for the remotes, this determines how large your file can really be.

Pronto TS-1000: 380kb.
Pronto TSU2000: 960kb.
ProntoPro TSU6000: 5952kb (first firmware: 6144kb).
Pronto RU-890: 380kb.
Pronto RU-940: 1404kb.
Pronto RU-970: 5667kb.
Marantz RC5000: 380kb.
Marantz RC5000i: 1404kb.
Marantz RC5200: 1220kb.
Marantz RC9200: 6900kb.
Onkyo CHAD USR-5RF: 697kb.
Yamaha RAV-2000: 444kb.
Yamaha RAV-2000Z1: 772kb.

I will have to try that stack pepupstack software or learn to use tonto.

Basically when I load the ccf 1/2 way through PronoEdit just closes. No error messages, no warnings, nothing.

I am sure it is not the file size, I tried removing all my other devices leaving just my two cd changers - so file size was very small. But yes, in general my file size is about 7.5mb right now and still growing. I use a PDA as my remote and some day hope to have all 800 music cd's and 600 dvd slots cataloged.

Probably has something to do with the complexity of the file.

Thanks for the input, I will try this tonight.

Jessie,

Do you use Links to this List from the 'List Options' dialog? What verion of ProntoEdit are you using?

Please reply via email with a copy of your original CCF, SN*.xml files all zipped up with a bow on top. I'll investigate further. I suspect it's a memory size issue but cannot be sure at this time. If you are using 'Links to this List', the problem may be there.

Jessie - you can use Daniel Tonk's ProntoINI Workshop.

It will allow you to set Pronto Edit to developer's mode and change the file size to over 30MB. HTH-Carl

Carl/Lyndel

I am using Pronto Edit Version 4. I have already run ProntoINI Workshop and an running in Developers mode.

I will email you all my files for you to look at.

I tried to run the stack program (peupstack.exe) but it does not recognize version Pronto Edit 4.0.

Lyndel, I will try to email you copies of my ccf file and snl file. They are big, I hope your email can handle it.

Thanks!

Jesse,

There are several versions of ProntoEdit 4. Do you have Version 4.05, 4.03, or what? Please see the Help->AboutProntoEdit to confirm exactly which version you have.

Please also only send "zipped" files. I use Winzip 8.0.

It should compress the files down to a manageable size. If you have a 2MB remote with around 1000 discs in SNL, your CCF and XML files should compress to well under 1MB. My mailbox is 27% full and handles 6MB when empty.

Thanks,
Lyndel
