I guess I just had not spent enough time. I have built a list called movie's and have been able to get a small list togeather. I hope this will be my last question. In playing after building the list I have played with the pronto emulator and all looks good but. Does SNL add the alphabet panel or have I missed this. Under the device movies I have a D0 and a D1 so far.

Bruce,

In the List Options Dialog, you will see a drop down that contains entries such as:

Letters->Artists->Discs->Tracks
Letters->Artists->Discs
Artists->Discs
Discs

It appears that you have selected the one that says 'Discs'. In this case you will not get alphabet or artists panels.

The term 'Artist' is just a grouping level. For my DVD List, I have artists named 'Comedies', 'Academy Best Pictures', etc... For DVD Lists, the Artist serves as the Genre'.

I have the slinke by nirvis. I use CDJ to identify all my cd's in my changer. Is there a way to take the data collected by cdj and move it over to supernudelist to create ccf files? Finding info on this has not been easy, the supernudelist homepage has been down all night I can't find much info on this.

I read somewhere that I could use microsoft access to open up my cdj file and convert it to a format that supernudelist would like.

Any suggestions?

Jesse,

I don't use CSV or XML imports at all. However...

SNL supports importing/exporting both XML and CSV (comma separated value) files. You should be able to export from Access to a CSV file with no problems. You then import the CSV file into SNL. I suggest that you create a temporary configuration under SNL and play with Imports and Exports to CSV files. That way, you get an understanding of the CSV format you require to contain all your information. Following that, go back to Access and export only the columns you need and import to SNL.

If there's anyone else who uses CSV files regularly and can offer some pointers, please do so.

Regards,
Lyndel

Thanks for all the help and sugestions on building my list. I felt all was great as I was seeing the list as i expected in device panels. So I decided to run the emulator in Prontoedit 4.03 to see how it looks. Much to my surprise all panels look great go to Movies I get my Alpha screen all letters are show where on the device-panel some were and some weren't. I pick a letter and I see movies that are not in my list and not on the devices in the edit mode. I assume this to be a ProntoEdit problem. Any thoughts??

Bruce,

If you are seeing something this strange, there's something really wrong. If it's a common problem, I would have expected it to have appeared during Beta Testing. Zip up your original CCF, your image override subdirectories (preserving directory structure), your SNL .XML config files, and send them via email directly to me and "Boobie". The only way to verify what the problem is is to see it first hand.

Tom, could you also have a look as you have the Pro in case it's something with ProntoEdit?

Hi there!!

I’m using the Super-Nudelist 1.9.9.11, Bruce Hartleys "Mp3-tools" and WinAmp to control my Mp3 collection, and it realy rocks!!

But there is one thing I should like to do:

While a melody is playing, I would like to search in the alphabet for a specific melody, and by myself decide when the next melody should start.

As it is today, the first (No 1) melody starts to play if I e.g. press playlist 154 - Marc Anthony.

While a melody is playing, I would like to open playlist 154; have a look at the melodies, close it, open playlist xxx, have a look and chose/play melody No 12. Is it possible?

My pronto is a RU-940

I suggested to Tore that he Delay Disc until track selection. Anyone else have any ideas?

I know that "Boobie" has MP3's but he does not have individual tracks, but rather, the MP3 is a whole album.

I don't have any concrete ideas yet, but I'll be hitting this similar problem next week as I implement full MP3 control for my jukebox. I'll want to do a similar thing...so I'll let you know how I worked around it.

Best,
Brad

Jesseasi,

If you go to:

[Link: seahunt.co.uk]

and download the mp3 pronto utils, you will find an access database which has scripts and queries to extract the CDJ database (slinke) and turn it into a supernudelist list.

Regards,
Bruce.

I cannot import a CSV file. I've tried a two column file with only Disc Number and Disc Name and I've even manually built a list in SNL and exported it. When add a few line to the exported file and re-import it I get the error that my list was not imported b/c it was empty.

Thanks in advance.

I don't use CSV imports that often, however, I think that your problem may be that the 'List' and 'Artist' column are required for a successful SNL CSV import.

Can you try using a 4 column file and supplying 'CDs' for List Name and 'Dummy' for the Artist Name?

If this does not solve your problem, please email me your CSV and I'll run against the debugger to determine the problem.

Any comments from CSV users?

Thanks,
Lyndel.

Make sure the list name appears in every entry.
