The Kenwood 400 disc changers (5900 & 5050)use a different selection scheme to access individual discs. On most changers to select a disc (say 263) you would send individual digits with a delay in between and possibly an enter or play command after that, so it would look like this digit 2 delay digit 6 delay digit3 delay enter The Kenwoods use 100, 10 and 0-9 keys, the same sequence on one of these changers would be 100+ delay 100+ delay 10+ delay 10+ delay 10+ delay 10+ delay 10+ delay 10+ delay digit 3 delay enter
SNL will now support this scheme.

When I use 1.9.9.11, everything is fine. When I use 2.0, I get the following popup error when I press the "Execute button"
Icon compression OFF. Compiling CSF... Opening script "D:\Pronto\SuperNudelist\SN_Temp\SuperNudelist.csf" for reading Warning (line 110) : Button "On" already exists in this panel. In certain case, it could be difficult to resolve references. ....(lots of warnings deleted) Warning (line 20763) : Button "a" already exists in this panel. In certain case, it could be difficult to resolve references. Line 21791 : Error E0004 : "Unkwown command" Pass 0 : "RightKey("Display")" "D:\Pronto\SuperNudelist\SN_Temp\SuperNudelist.csf" is not a valid CSF file.
I'm getting ready to send my .ccf and SNL_*.xml files to Lyndel, has anyone else seen this problem?

Ron SNL 2 provides the ability to configure the hard buttons for your particular remote, something previous versions did not address, it sounds like you have an invalid command in one of the hard buttons in one of your devices which the compiler did not look at in the earlier version. You might want to take a look there first. If you like you can send me your CCF and I will look at it Tom [email protected]

Just downloaded 2.00 and installed it into a different folder than 1.99. When I click Execute the CCF gets created, but none of the panels have any text in them. The bars at the bottom do, but not the actual frames themselves. The Disc #'s do show up, but nothing else.
Any ideas?

Check in the advanced options tab and see what your font size and colors are perhaps they might need to be adjusted.

Attention: Version 2.0.0.0 utilizes some of the latest features available under CCFTools @ http://ccftools.free.frYou will need to download the June 27, 2002 version and retest before reporting errors. Specifically SNL utilizes CCFDLL.DLL. This version must be dated June of 2002. When reporting problems, please state the following in your post: 1) Date/Timestamp on CCFDLL.DLL? 2) Type of Remote you have and memory size? 3) Indication as to whether Tonto ever been used on your original CCF? 4) Symptoms of the problems and any testing that you have done prior to doing a post? Some of the problems reported have been introduced by Beta releases of Tonto such as Circular Button References (a bug in an early Tonto Version). Furthermore, new Buttons added by Tonto also have a color palette index greater than 215 (CCF Compiler does not like this). All these things are typically easily resolved but may require a decompile and tweaks on the CSF file with a text editor. Brian, You did not indicate whether your copied your SN_CONFIG subdirectory to the new location where you installed the executable. Can you provide more info? If you can't get this resolved, please use Winzip to zip your original CCF and your SN_DEVICES.XML and SN_LIBRARY.XML files and send to me via email I believe that you are experiencing user error, however I need to know how you got into this predicament so as to guide others. If you should receive an error similar to the following or an error description containing the word 'Key', you may need the latest CCFDLL.dll.
Line 21791 : Error E0004 : "Unkwown command" Pass 0 : "RightKey("Display")" "D:\Pronto\SuperNudelist\SN_Temp\SuperNudelist.csf" is not a valid CSF file.

Many Thanks to "Boobie" for helping to resolve the problems experienced above by RonS. Tom, as I'm not closest to the problem, would you be so kind when you get a chance to fill us in on the issue and whether or not you think this problem was related to Tonto Use?

Sorry I didn't provide more info at the time, but I was writing this on my way out of the office as the weather was getting bad and I wanted to beat the traffic.
Anyway, I actually tried two different things: 1. Installed into same folder as 1.99 so as to use my old config and list XML files. This is when I noticed the problem first. 2. To see if it had something to do with using the 1.99 files, I created a new folder, unzipped the files into this new folder and started from scratch. I imported my CD List from a CSV file and tried again. Same result - no text for the Artists or Titles, but the Disc #s and Artist names at the bottom appeared.
When I went back to a backed up 1.99 folder, everything worked as it should.
b00bie: I too thought to check the fonts and colors, etc., but those all seemed ok. I'm not using any BMP overide stuff, so that should be ok too.
I'd love to be able to post what DLL date and whatnot I'm using, but I'm not at the machine with SNL installed. I've got Tonto installed, but I've never done anything more than load my CCF to see how it worked. (not enough time in my day to figure out all the cool stuff Tonto has to offer)
I wanted to just get my testing info posted in case I did something wrong by first installing into the old 1.99 folder. Does it save any info into the registry? I'll post the DLL date once I get a chance.
Thanks in advance for all your help.

Brian,
I would like to see the resulting CCF first hand tonight if at all possible. Send me the other files listed below tomorrow.
SNL is not very forgiving in that it my experiences with CSV imports typically reset all list setting as a new list is created with default settings. During the testing, I'm not sure if I ever tested this feature as the new list settings can take quite some time to get right and having them reset during a CSV import is a real pain.
In lieu of this, I would appreciate you sending me your current SN*.XML config files and a very, very small subset of the data in your CSV file as well as your original CCF to test. Zip em up and ship em via email and I'll have a look tomorrow.
SNL Only saves window sizes and locations into the registry. I don't believe the registry is the issue here.

*** BUG ALERT ***
There is bug in the 2.0.0.0 version. If an SNL List does not have 'Truncate Names' CheckBox checked, text will not appear in the headings or on the list itself.
There is a workaround. Simply Check the above CheckBox 'Advanced List Options Dialog', there is a Check Box for Truncate Names. Ensure that the 'Truncate Names' Checkbox is checked in the 'Advanced List Options' dialog and and your text will appear as expected.
I will correct this when I officially release the 2.0.0.1 version.
Thanks to Brian Lipszyc for finding this one.
