Well my actions may have answered durability and ability for the pronto to sustain dropping questions. Last night I left my Pronto on the kitchen counter and accidentley droped it over 3 feet onto a very hard granite floor. It survived without a scratch. The battery cover and battery went flying however the unit is still working fine. Hopefully for a long time.
