Will the Pronto also learn unusual remote codes (like a Seleco SVT120 Video-projector uses... my Marantz 2K couldn`t learn the codes, the programmable remote that came with my Yamaha A1 could learn them)

Probably you wont have any of this "strange" equipment to test with, but maybe a "helpful person" could help out ? :)

Well, it's not the "unusualness" of a signal that's usually the problem, but rather the frequency it uses. For instance, the RC2000 Mk1 wouldn't learn anything from my friend's Sony receiver, but the Pronto works flawlessly with it. Perhaps "a helpful person" could help, but I don't think they'll have experience with your particular equipment. Unless Seleco strayed from all known conventions when designing IR codes for their projector, it should work.

Seleco are an Italian projector manufacturer, if memory serves me right. I don't know much about their remote codes, to be honest. I've seen their equipment at trade shows like CEDIA, but not had my hands on one of their remotes with test equipment around.

I know some projector manufacturers use a 455 KHz carrier, which Pronto can't learn (but can send :-) but I don't know if Seleco is one. Best thing to do would be for you to call them and ask...

Patrick, I have a Seleco SVT-180 and my Yamaha remotes won't learn from the Seleco remote either. I have an older RXV850 remote and a new "RAV150" remote (for current Yamaha RXV series). If you find out any more info on what remotes will learn from the quirky Selecos can you let me know? Same deal from me if I discover anything.

thanks!
