My JVC VCR has several "nested" menu settings for things like: noise reduction on/off, front/rear input switching, etc. Does anyone know if there are discreet ir codes for each of these? If so, where would I find them? Writing macros is not the best solution, because these features toggle on/off, and the Pronto does not keep track of the last setting.

Hi,
While I do not know of one all-inclusive source for undocumented codes, some contributors on this forum have found codes for "secret" Sony TV codes and I believe a few others. I don't know if they will translate to Pronto use, but there is also an IR code library available for download from the Lexicon wed site. Undocumentd codes and macro solutions for system control are naturals for Pronto config file trading.

There is also another solution for system power control - Houselinc and Boblinc from Smartlinc (www.smartlinc.com). Jack Schultz provided a brief description of the type of system control posible with these components (see "lighting control" thread below). I called Smartlinc directly and they provided me with a copy of a current price list. The most expensive part (houselinc) was less than the cost of the Pronto.

It would be fantastic if the Phillips Pronto site would let us down load codes from their library like the Lexicon site does. This may be the answer to the Pioneer RP problem some of us are suffering with. Will this option be available with the software release?
