BUT:

I just "discovered" that you can left-click + drag on a Link or on the Icon in your IE Adress bar and drag them down to your Quick Launch bar.

Really handy for those "Wordy" Threads you want to keep up with!

Well, you have to have IE with the Quick Launch Bar activated. (RightClick > Active Bar at bottom > Properties > Check Quick Launch Bar).

Now, LEFT Click a Link, or on the Icon in the Address Bar at the top, and Drag it down to the Quick Launch Bar and Release it. Now you just have to left click on that icon and you will go straignt to that link.

You can also so this with shortcuts on your Desktop. Or files in an Explorer Window.

Drag your cursor down to a clear area on the bottom bar where the START Button is, RIGHT CLICK and select Properties. On the TaskBar Tab there should be a Check-off Box that says something like "Show Quick Launch", check this box and click OK.

Now, when you are on a web page with links you can LEFT-CLICK + DRAG that link down to your QuickLaunch Bar and release it. A Generic IE "E" Icon will now be put in your bar. With an Internet Connection active, when you click on this "Button" an IE Page will open and go straight to that URL. (Some sites, like RC will actually change to a Cool, site related Icon)!

You can also click on & drag the: Icon in the Address Window at the top of the IE Screen AND any Icons on your Desktop or from a Windows Explorer Window. Sometimes it will Create a ShortCut, and sometimes it will actually MOVE that item to the QuickLaunch Bar (I haven't figured out that Protocol as yet).

Mike,

I'm too busy trying to think of an association for "Ungawa".

PS How did this forum suddenly turn into the "Monty Python" of forums???

PPS Props to Pechulis for the mother of all pointless threads: Word Association.

You may have beat yourself--I wouldn't be at all surprised. But you DID beat ME.
