I am waiting for my Pronto to show-up today, mainly due to this site and the opinions here. I was wondering if anyone had put together a real FAQ on the Pronto more technically based than the one on Phillip's site.

Jeff, I expect that you'll see improved FAQ's etc in January after the CES show. I know that the software release will certainly prompt additional questions. Have fun with your Pronto!

The first step in an FAQ is to really gather the questions that people are commonly asking (probably by scanning this message board)

I am having a problem getting it to learn more than one function on the device menu Chapter 3 page 28 says this is possible but does it only mean One Action ? the wording is "an" does mean ONE? example::: I would like to go to Home Press TV & have the unit do the following actions automatically
Turn on the TV Turn the TV to the TV input Turn on the Sony Reciever
Is this possible or is that going to require a Macro and then When the software becomes available I can move this Macro to The Device Button?

Robert,
I beleive that others will confirm that with the on screen user i/f that your method mentioned is the only way (macro). The software will support (macros) up to 255 steps under any button/key press as well as a jump of course to another place. So for the mo, the macros are the best approach. And yes, with the software you'll be able to "move" aka copy to another place.

Robert,
You can accomplish what you are asking w/o software. I have all my devices set up so that when I press a specific device key on the home page, several actions are taken, such as changing the input on the amplifier, changing the input on the TV, turning on the device and going to the device template page. For information on how to do this, look at Daniel Tonks review of the Pronto and in that review he discusses an undocumented feature that accomplishes this.
