I have a permanent blank screen on my RC5000. I have tried all the ideas in FAQ. but no luck.It uploads OK
and has the latest firmware.
Any ideas or has anyone had experience of getting repairs done?
Thanks...BOB

Leave the battery out for a while. Also, back up your CCF then choose skip when upgrading the firmware.

Silly question, but did you check the contast wheel?
I almost sent one back to Marantz for this once and was the contrast. Happens to the best of us. I hope I'm not the only one.
:)

Does the battery charge?

Do you get feedback beeps or button action when you press the panel where the buttons should be?

Do the physical buttons function?

Hope this helps.

Have you you tried adjusting the contrast dial? You would not be the first to run into this one...I include myself in this group.

I am getting the same problem.

The Unit Charges...
I get the audible beeps
The Unit changes to the various functions when a button is hit
The battery charges

The screen just stays black....

Any Ideas????

What happens when you adjust the contrast wheel on the side?

You didn't say, just asking.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

So, was it the contrast wheel? ;-)
