OK, first of all, I don't have a Pronto so I can't try this myself. I want one but the pricetag is making me think about it twice.

I do have a Palm Pilot and as some of you know, it has a built-in IR. Some people released a program that allows you to use the internal IR as a remote (unfortunately it has a very very short range)

So anyway, some guy has figured out the codes that Furby uses to communicate with other Furbys and has created a file that lets you control your Furby with your Palm Pilot. I tried it and it works great! I can *FINALLY* get my Furby to go to sleep whenever I want to at the push of a button.

So I am wondering, perhaps it is possible to enter the codes in the Pronto and use the Pronto to control a Furby.

Would anyone like to try report back?

The page with the codes is at [Link: blueneptune.com]

I can't believe I'm qualifying that post with a response but here goes.

You should be able to use the palmpilot to teach the pronto these codes. I don't know what format you use to put codes into the pilot, but I doubt you could just enter them into the pronto unless you generate the compatible hex code.

Hmm... good idea indeed! I may have to create a Furby CCF one of these days. I finally ordered my Pronto and it should be here Thursday. woohoo!

oh man... I got a furby from my cousin on my 30th birthday this year. (I just removed the batteries yesterday out of frustration.) I just bought a Pronto today as a personal house warming present. If you could create a CCF for the Furby I would LOVE to see it!

I can hardly wait to wreck havok on her eighty-or-so Furbies...

Well, it turns out that my Pronto will be here on Friday instead of today.

I will work on that CCF over the weekend. I already got Prontoedit and I'm comfortable enough to create one for the Furby.

I can control my Furby with my Palm Pilot, I am positive the Pronto will have no problems with it.

My favorite option? The "SLEEP" option, no more weird patting the back or waiting for it to get bored. You push the button, and it goes to sleep.

Has anyone yet done a furby.ccf for the German furby? None of the US codes work on mine...
thanks Oliver

There is a Furby ccf made by David Renteria in the Files section over here at Remote Central. You may want to look at it.
I've also got a Daniel Tonks style Furby device icon for anyone interested.

I tried Davids Furby.ccf without success. That is why I asked for a German code.

I understand but the others in this post probably do not live in Germany and may not know they do not have to invent the wheel again...
Don't know how David Renteria learned the codes with the Pronto (I do not own a Furby) but maybe you can e-mail him about it: [email protected]
