Hi,

I bought a new product from Novii Media compatible with Palm - Novii Remote Blaster - and I'm very satisfied with it.

It's an SD card wich turns my handheld into a remote. What I especially like is how it enhances the power of IR transmitter on my PDA that enables to hold my PDA in any convenient position without necessity to directly point at the controlled device.

But I heard that they produce NOVII REMOTE software as well. Could anyone tell me what is the difference between Novii remote and Novii Remote Blaster?

Though this blaster is even more than I could wait from a universal remote for 60$ :-) Novii Remote seems to be the same... I hope it's not because Blaster is more expensive and it probably has some strong features...

So has anyone used Novii remote or Novii Remote Blaster?

Hi,

I also bought the NoviiRemote Blaster even though I already own the
Novii Remote software. The big advantage for me is that I no longer have to point directly at the TV and other components. I just hold my PDA in any convenient position. Besides, the Novii Blaster has much more build-in codes than the Novii Remote ("Only NoviiRemote Blaster controls over 100,000 home entertainment devices") :) The fact is that when I was at my friends' this small thing enabled me to control THEIR home theater, with no learning or any complicated operations required.

By this moment I'm completely satisfied with my purchase of the Blaster. So, Jeremy, don't be sorry about the purchase. It's worth every penny you've paid for it :)

Hello to all,

On behalf of the company that produces the Blaster, I just wanted to mention that the Blaster SD card for palmOne handhelds does indeed have two big advantages over the NoviiRemote software by itself.

First, the card contains a powerful infrared transmitter. This means that owners of the Blaster can use the remote from any location in the given room. They can also hold their PDA at a natural viewing angle, without having to point at the AV system. The powerful transmitter is also convenient for controlling TVs outside the home, for example at your local sports bar.

Second, the Blaster contains all of the IR codes for most popular home entertainment equipment. This makes setup a snap: just choose the brand of equipment, and you're up and running!

Finally, we should mention that the Blaster is just plain fun to use. You will amaze your friends with this incredible new invention!

It is really an incredible invention.

My friends and I have had hours of fun changing channels in restaurant and wine bars with the help of NoviiRemote Blaster :) It works great!! Imagine the astonishment of the barmen! :)
