Hi

I'm using PDAWin with HP Jornado and was wondering if anyone had a CCF to be able to use the cannon RC-1 remote with an EOS 300D camera.

Any help most gratefully received!

Cheers

Paul

Joe Luis posted this on DP Review:

If you have a Philips Pronto universal remote or a PDA with a compatible IR Remote control software:

Those applications use a universal configuration file that mimics each IR remote control you can find.

Unfortunately, no matter where I looked I could not find the configuration file for the canon RC-1 control. So, I ended up buying the RC-1. Today, with the help of Rong Zhou, I was finally able to create my owh CCF file by programming my Pocket PC to learn the two commands produced by the RC-1 (immediate trigger and 2 s delay trigger). Here's the link to the CCf file:

Thanks Luis!

Hey, that's cool! I have a Canon G2 that came with that remote, and I was planning on making a skin and device codes for Total Remote. Now that someone has done a little CCF I will make one for Total Remote's native mode!

Oops, my mistake! I do not have the RC-1, I have the WL-DC100. Oh well, I already made the skin, I might as well learn the codes and post it to the Total Remote web site. :)

I do not know where my Canon remote is, and I have long since lost the RCDEV file I created. Ironically, I still have the fully functional skin I made that looks exactly like the remote! :)
