I have a couple of LED message boards that are only programmable with a IR keyboard. I have one keyboard and two signs, which are at two locations. I tried learning the codes with a learning remote, but there are just too many functions to learn, and confusing especially without alpha keys. Do all the PDA remote softwares have the capability to be set up with alpha keys? If not, which ones would be my best bet? This will be on an Axim x50. It would be a plus if I could customize the keys themselves for unique characters for the signs. Thanks! I have used RemoteControl II for a similar task (remote IrDA- keyboard for a media receiver) without problems. You have to create a panel with all alpha- keys in the included panel editor and then teach each button from your IR- keyboard.
