X10 RF, Wifi, Bluetooth, IR Tactile buttons for major functions Colour LCD + side buttons (or maybe touch screen - but I'm not that keen on fingerprints all over it) Remote control of HTPC (a Girder plugin or config with an existing plugin is all that it required) Macros Ability for some buttons to transmit using different transmitters (ie. 1 button IR, 1 X10, 1 Wifi etc). Li-ion battery with recharge cradle Backlit or glow-in-the-dark buttons
Anyone know where I can get such a beast?
It needs to be styled nicely and priced in the mid-range (not $1500) like most of the Philips ones. For that much I can get a PDA and use BT or Wifi... in fact if they had the right hard buttons I'd be tempted.

And I would like a truck that hovers and runs on hydrogen, it also needs to be under 20k, otherwise I could just buy a hovercraft and outfit it with solar cells.

X10 RF Technically there is no such thing. X-10 is a powerline carrier, which has to be generated by something plugged in to your electrical system - which receives commands by RF, IR, your finger or a PC. So what you're technically asking for here is just some sort of universal RF to control an RF to X-10 transceiver, which it doesn't seem like any company wants to implement (unless X-10 themselves decide to come out with such a beast, which doesn't seem likely).
However with the right X-10 equipment and an ordinary RF remote, you could easily gain the same effect.
Wifi Can do.
Bluetooth Could be done if someone designed it, however the reasons for needing Bluetooth are still too few. Simply controlling the PS3 probably doesn't warrant the expense of integrating it into *every* remote.
IR Naturally. :-)
Tactile buttons for major functions Colour LCD + side buttons (or maybe touch screen - but I'm not that keen on fingerprints all over it) Remote control of HTPC (a Girder plugin or config with an existing plugin is all that it required) Macros Available. For the HTPC some supplementary hardware/software may be needed, but HTPC control isn't anything special.
Ability for some buttons to transmit using different transmitters (ie. 1 button IR, 1 X10, 1 Wifi etc). I'm not sure exactly what you mean here, but a properly designed remote should be able to intermix any of its supported protocols.
Li-ion battery with recharge cradle Backlit or glow-in-the-dark buttons Ever since they stopped using radioactive materials, glow-in-the-dark is honestly useless. It's backlit or don't bother.

If you drop your requirements for X-10-specific RF and Bluetooth then there are several solutions available, but probably a bit out of your price range. If you drop WiFi there are likely a few that could do the job below $1000.

the only remote i use for my htpc is a asus eee netbook (super small laptop). w/ the new asus you can get up to 9 hour of use on a battery.
i use a free program called input director that lets me use the keyboard and mouse from the asus to control my htpc over my network. this program is very easy to use.
hope this helps

Also, take a look at our remote control software at RoamingRemote.com. It is currently in Beta test phase and uses WiFi to control the HTPC, software media player, receiver/preamplifier and DirecTV sat boxes.
We have a Beta Test thread over at AVS forum here as well.
