I was wondering if anyone has new codes for Denon 2800 receiver and newer. I am using 0160 and it has some features, but assigns codes that are not really needed or don't work correctly.. Is my only option learned option? I have tried clearing some of these buttons but they will not clear.. I admit I'm a total newbie but man my Denon remote was easier to assign learn codes thatn this 15-1994. I woukld love to keep it though as it is a very nice all-in-one. Thnaks for any help in advance.

The functions are split between two different setup codes, 0160 and 0004. You can program all the missing functions using advanced codes. I have the codes you need isted on my site along with an improved manual which explains what advanced codes are.

Thanks rob but those codes are for older Dennons they don't take into account 5 channel stereo and a few other functions. I'm up and running though thanks for all your work!! G

If you have found the codes for these additional functions, let me know and I'll add them.

I have the denon 3802 w/a cinema 7. I really want to be able to program the dimmer and cinema re-eq on to the remote. I've tried to use the advance codes to no avail. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? The re-eq feature on the denon provided remote takes 2 strokes to complete.

I just bought a Denon 2802 and code 0160 worked for me, but I still have some issues. I was able to set a couple of commands that were lacking using advanced codes. One thing I can not do is get the 1994 to tune up and down the preset radio stations. I've tried advanced codes, learning, everything I can think of. I can't believe I can't get it to learn these, but I've tried over and over. Any clues on this? Thanks.

Check out the FAQ section in hifi-remote for Denon specific tips. Many advanced codes (including the tuning function) need to be programmed under device code 0004.

Thanks bossfan, I will check out hifi-remote (he's got a great site), but I've tried the advanced codes for device code 0004, and they didn't work for me. I'm thinking about clearing out my 1994 completely and starting over to see if this solves the problem.

MCW, maybe your memory is full? I also have a 2802 and had no trouble getting anything to work including the tuning function so you should be able to get it to do what you want.

Just remember, if you are trying advanced codes from 0004, you need to have this code programmed to the device button, if you are trying advanced codes from 0160, you need to have that code programmed to the device button.

The advanced codes programmed from 0004 will still work when you re-program the device button using the 0160 code, or vice versa.

Greetings,

OK so I get it that you can use advanced codes to program all the correct buttons for the Denon Rcvr onto the OFA/RS universal remotes. My question is why aren't the code properly programmed in the first place?

The advanced codes for device 0160 on the hifi-remote site seem to match my original Denon unit but the RS 15-2104 remaps many of the functions to other keys.

What gives?

Cheers
TC

I got the 15-2104 today. I'd like to get the Denon 3802 and Sony TV advance codes into the thing to transfer some codes to my MX-500, but the Robman's website appears to not be up today - I'm denied access to that server. Oh well, there's always another day for play.
