I'm looking for the code for my Toshiba DVD model # SD 1600. I tried 0503 and it does not work.

Thanks.

That should be the right code, what do you mean when you say it doesn't work, do you mean that the remote wouldn't accept the code (one long blink, rather than two short flashes) or do you mean that once the code was programmed, your DVD player wouldn't respond to it?

Rob - To be specific, the code is accepted by the remote (2 flashes) and the DVD didn't respond. My TV, VCR and AMP work fine.

Rob - I looked through the extensive resources on this site, programmed my aux as a vcr, then switched it to dvd and it worked! Thanks.

I was going to tell you to do that, but when you said the code was accepted i assumed that you had already done that, and guessed that the 1600 must use a different code to all the other models.
