I have a lot of x-10 in the house so I am not asking about that.

I am asking if there is a place in the 15-1994 to set housecode?

If not, do I just add an IR543 and set its housecode and then just use the 15-1994 to control lights.

ie: I now have RF remote as O5 and O6 for the lights.

Can I eliminate the rf remote, set the IR 543 to housecode O and then use the 5 and/or 6 key on the RS?

I ask as there is little info about this other than setting the x-10 4 digit code...not a thing about key mapping on the rs rempte. In fact to me the hardest thing in programming the 15-1994 was "discovering" the keys that were mapped to the original dvd, cd and vcr remotes!

For IR X-10, the housecode is currently ONLY set on the IR543. The remote only sends the command, not the house code number. Thus, without upgrading to something much more expensive, you can only control one housecode.

Thank you...that will be enough as I only want to control, via 1994, the light(s) in that 1 room.

Dan...one other question...what are the key mappings of the remote when set to x-10?

What is used for the one light on and off and dim?

The X10 settings are actually labelled on the 15-1994, but in any case, here's the mappings...

POWER = All Lights On
MUTE = Everything Off
VOL UP = Brighten
VOL DOWN = Dim
CH UP = On
CH DOWN = Off

1 = Device 1
2 = Device 2
3 = Device 3
4 = Device 4
5 = Device 5
6 = Device 6
7 = Device 7
8 = Device 8
9 = Device 9
0 = Device 10
REW = Device 11
PLAY = Device 12
FFWD = Device 13
REC = Device 14
STOP = Device 15
PAUSE = Device 16
