I have just programmed a 1994 and all now seems to be OK. Could not copy Proceed AVP vol (aux1) to DVD vol (aux2). Anyway...I had some keys on AVP that did not work. I got single flash when trying to learn. So I tried to clear CD shift keys I learned. My Sony cd has 1 -20 for number keys so I programmed 11 as shift 1 etc. They all worked, too, but I assummed I used up memory and tried to clear the shift keys.

I used 976 1 shift 1 and it would not clear. Anyway I nuked the learned buttons in CD and that did do it...along with all the learned buttons I did. Actually I am not sure why they tell you to select a device if they are going to clear ALL devices.

Anyway, I suppose I can do a learn on AUX2, CD, and VCR for VOL up/down...but Just how much memory is there?

OH, I have

Proceed AVP on AUX1

Pioneer DV333 dvd on AUX2 (RS salesperson told my wife DVD will not work :-))

Hitachi 60" on TV

Sony 707ESD CD on CD

Panasonic 4690 vcr on VCR

OH, and DCT2000 Cable box on Cable

Going to get IR543 for X10..

Maybe I have outgrown this remote in the first 5 minutes I had it!

Still, for $30 i will keep it. If memory IS that limited, I can get a HTM SL-9000...or will I have memory issues with that, too?

To answer the memory question, there is enough memory in the "learning" memory bank to learn about 24 buttons. There is enough memory in the "programming" memory bank to program about 45 buttons using advanced codes but macros also use up the "programming" memory.

I'm not sure that I understand what you are doing with the Proceed, heck, I don't even know what a Proceed is.

If you had to learn the Proceed buttons, you cannot COPY them, you will have to re-learn them wherever else you want them.

With the SL9000 you will have alot more learning memory.

If you haven't already visited my site, you should do so as there is ALOT of into on the 15-1994.

Thanks Rob.

Yes I have been to your site...VERY helpfull.

I had 10 keys programmed as shift 1, shift 2, etc for my Sony. That was to have the CD go to track 11 by hitting shift-shift-1, etc. Anyway I nuked them!

The Proceed AVP is a VERY good AV Processor!

Also, do you know why none of the instructions seemed to clear my shift 1, etc. keys? I started over!

So far I think this is one of the best bargains in remotes!!

OH...My Pioneer DV333 DVD player was put on AUX2 and the CODE 0571 works GREAT.
My Panasonic 4690 VCR is code 0162.

When you programmed the shifted CD buttons, did you use learning or advanced codes?

Have you found a device code that works some of the Proceed functions?

BTW: You should try 1062, 1162 and 1262 for your VCR, they are more complete codes that 0162, one of them will be an almost perfect fit.

OK, will try your VCR codes.

I learned the Proceed codes as there are not that many.

Also, I learned the 11 button, etc. from the CD to shift-1. That did work, but when I tried to clear the button with a 1-shift 1 (as your site states) it would NOT clear.

To completely clear the remote and start over, you can use the 980 command. Clearing things from shifted keys can sometimes be tricky, but I don't know why it's not working for you.

I would STRONGLY suggest that you program the shifted number keys using advanced codes rather than learning, not only will it free up learning memory that you can use for something else, but you get a more reliable signal using advanced codes than you do via learning.

Thanks Rob. Not sure I have the advanced codes for track 11-20, however, I programmed ENTER for >20. In this case, if I hit enter, I can then push 1 and 5 to get 15. >20, is really a direct enter key.

Does anyone have or know where is Advanced Codes for Sony STR-DE445 Amplifier/Tuner or/and Akai VS-6770 VCR. Codes should be working with All For One RC.
