I want to control my Proceed AVP using AUX1 but I can not get power on to work. Any ideas? I do not expect a code, but why will it not learn? Do I need to copy TV to AUX1?

P.S. Pioneer dv333 works great on AUX2!

Could you tell me what a "Proceed AVP" is, is it a TV? When you say that you can't get 'power on' to work, does that mean that you have found a device code that does everything else and the only button you are missing is the POWER button or haven't you even found a device code that works?

I need this extra info in order to be able to help you.

Rob...I think what happened is that I filled memory up with my CD player shifted keys! I now have the Proceed AVP (VERY highend AV Processor) working well on AUX1. Need to program vol into dvd and vcr keys however.

P.S. When I get an ir543 to controll my x-10 stuff, does the Remote need to have the housecode entered or is that just on the ir543? I have seen nothing on the x-10/1994 saying I needed other than this ir receiver. I already have extensive x-10 stuff in the house and use RF commands for the Home Theater lights.

MPSAN and Rob,

I too am looking to control the Proceed AVP (Audio Video Processor) with my One for All A/V Producer 8. This whole area is very new to me and I am not sure where to get the data. I've looked at your site Rob and have printed out the pages for closer study, but it seems daunting!

There are two additional questions I have:
1) When the RF / IR repeater is plugged in, it constantly sends out an IR signal. This signal doesn't affect most of my components, but does affect my Proceed and prevents the proceed remote from working on its own!

2) Would anyone have the codes to operate a Wadia 830 CD player? Also a very high end unit.... :(

Thanks in advance for your direction!

Dan

Dan, I just set the RS remote to AUX1 and learned the AVP's commands from the AVP remote. I did not program the 15-1994 via the AVP front panel.

I sure like the AVP...especially since I had a Rotel Proc for a few weeks to see the difference!!!

I have just taken a look at the Proceed signal and it is an unusual signal. It's possible that a Mitsubishi signal might be close enough to work, but I would have to take a much closer look to say which one might be the closest.

The best bet for people using the Proceed is to get a learning remote. If you don't need to many Proceed buttons the 15-1994 should work, but the Producer 8 is not ideal for this unless you send it in to have the code for the proceed added.

Rob, as I said the Learning does work. There are not too many commands needed for the Proceed. Great Proc! Did you try one to see the signal?

P.S. I was told that the SL-9000 does come with the Proceed AVP code included.

No, I downloaded a file from the Pronto section.
