I have a new home theater system consisting of

Toshiba 36" TV
Toshiba DVD
Kenwood 407 A/V Rcvr
DishNetwork "dishplayer 7200"
Would the URC-8800 control these components?

I have bought so many URCsthat didn't live up to the press clippings I thougt I would ask the forum.

Thanks in advance.

Not without an upgrade. The immediate problem I see is the 7200, you would need to send in the URC-8800 to have the code for that (SAT code 1005) added.

You might be better off waiting for the new URC-8780 which should be available any day now, my guess is that the 1005 code will be in that remote.

Thanks Rob,

I've been reading on your very impressive site!
My problem, in addition to the dishplayer, is that I need the RF feature that is offered on the R/s 15-1995 and URC-8800. Is the URC-8780 learn capable and does it use RF?
