Could you be more specific, which functions are you looking for? The current list is very complete, I can't think of what's missing.

Nirels:

I am not sure exactly what you are asking for but there
is a list of advanced codes for some other Denon receivers at this URL:

[Link: ampersand.hypermart.net][3.20]

This list has more codes from the 0004 device code
that can be copied over.

I have an AVR-4800 and will be using this list to set mine up. However, as yet, I am not sure that all of the codes work with my model receiver. I am working
on it as we speak.

Rob: Which list are you speaking of? Is it the same
list that I just pointed Nirels to or is there another
list?

I was referring to the list of advanced codes that I have on my site.

Did the channel up & down codes on my site not work then? There's also a code simply labelled "Speaker", what did that code do when you tried it?

There are several key points that I think you are missing here.

1. The codes for your receiver are actually split between the two device codes, 0160 and 0004. The channel up and down buttons being part of the 0004 device code.

2. You can mix and match buttons from different device codes by programming them using their advanced codes.

3. You can program and learn buttons to almost any button, not just the four "lurning buttons".

You say the 0004 code doesn't work for you, what do you mean exactly, I just tested it on my 15-1994 and it works.

I'm also guessing here that you haven't visited with my web site or Gerald's FAQ page that Sam gave you the link for earlier. There is alot of info on both sites that would be very helpful to you.

I am in the process of programming the Cinema 7 for my Denon 2500. Most of the codes work (0004 for channel select and 0160 for most everything else). However, the discrete power does not work. I have searched all through the 0160 codes and nothing. I did find other codes not on any site:

0160 245 Stereo
0160 214 A.V.S.E.
0160 121 Speaker A on/off
0160 117 Speaker B on/off
0160 123 Center Speaker on/off
0160 087 Cinema EQ on/off
0160 022 Power on/off

Notice that my power code is different from what is on the other sites listed above.

Nirels,
You keep saying 0040 for the second device code, is this a type or do you really mean 0040? The second device code for the Denon is 0004 (ie, FOUR not FORTY).

You also say that you can't find the advanced codes for channel up and down, yet they are listed in the page for 0160 on my site, do you mean that they don't work or did you really not find them on my code list?

Assuming that you haven't been able to find the codes, click here.

I think the easiest thing here would be to simply walk you through the entire process of setting these buttons up.

I will assume that you want to use the AUX1 button for the receiver, if you want to use AUX2 simply substitute AUX2 where you see AUX1 in the following instructions. I am also going to assume that you want the channel up button on the 15-1994 to operate the channel up function.

a. Program the AUX1 to device code 0004, as follows:
1. Press the AUX1 button.
2. Press and hold the SETUP (green P) button, wait for 2 flashes.
3. Type 0004, two flashes.

b. Program the Channel Up button:
1. Press the AUX1 button.
2. Press and hold SETU, two flashes.
3. Type 994, two flashes.
4. Press and release SETUP.
5. Type 089.
6. Press CHANNEL UP, two flashes.

c. Program the Channel Down button:
1. Press the AUX1 button.
2. Press and hold SETU, two flashes.
3. Type 994, two flashes.
4. Press and release SETUP.
5. Type 087.
6. Press CHANNEL DOWN, two flashes.

Repeat this process for any other buttons that you need to program from the 0004 device.

d. Reset the device to 0160:
1. Press the AUX1 button.
2. Press and hold the SETUP (green P) button, wait for 2 flashes.
3. Type 0160, two flashes.

Rob.

PS. Jeff, thanks for those extra codes, i will add them.

O.k i think i got it! i didn't know i had to input the advanced codes when the aux1 is set to work on 0004 code(even that it doesn't oparate my reciver) and then switch back to the 0160 code, i don't think it is mentioned in the manuals and it should be.
Thanks again for your great help.
