Hey, Everybody. I'm back. HELP! Does anyone know if I can have 2 Panasonic VCRs and keep the reception/reaction of the VCRs to the remote separate? I would like to be able to have a second Panasonic VCR, especially the same model, and be able to operate one without affecting the other......and vice versa.

THANKS for any help!!

when I have to block IR signals to to other units.
I use polyken black electrical tape.
But I don't have to do it often because all my units are all different brand names.

Some VCRs have an "A" or "B" remote codes setting. My JVC VCR does. It is exactly for the purpose you describe, allowing individual control of two identical VCRs.

I have no idea if Panasonic does this. It should be mentioned in your manual somewhere if they do. Look for info on your VCRs remote in the manual. My JVC actually came with a seperate booklet just for the remote.

Good luck.

Panasonic does indeed have separate codes, but I can't tell you how to set it or whether your specific models support it.
