Has anyone ever managed to teach a Cinema7 to switch the cursor mode to Soundfield? I have just about "everything under control" except this and have tried it every which way. I can select it from the front panel and all of the soundfields are then available from the remote - but hell!! I have to stand up AND cross the room to do that. If I could be bothered to do that I could throw all my remotes away. Cheers, JW

Sony uses very long signals for the DSP functions on these receivers, so it's doubtful that you would be able to learn it into the C7.

I have a DE945 and have taught it the on screen button from the remote and the cursor keys. The most reliable I found was to cover the right ir port on the top of the remote because of the two way communication.

Although skeptical, I tried covering an IR port on the Sony remote to drive the c7 learning, but didn't have any luck. So, is it totally hopeless or just doubtful the C7 can learn to switch the sound field on the DE945? Are multiple codes used to select the sound field and if so can we program multiple codes onto one C7 key to accomplish the task?
