I just bought this thing, and it came with the wrong manual, it has a 4 for 1 instead of All For One. Anyways, please help give me all the codes for the following:

DVD: Sony DVP-S5300
Tuner: NAD T760
RCA Direct TV

And Rob, I went to you site, but my stupid control can't seem to make the DVD player work. Are there any other controls? Also, I've read in this forum for the Prod8, my remote says I need a 3 digit code, your site says I need a 4 digit codes. I don't even know what Advanced Codes do yet. You tell me to use the setup button, but my remote only has the Magic button (which is anything but magical)! I'm all confused! ;)

Do I really need to send this sucker in?
Thanks in advanced

Got one of these myself. According to the One For All website - [Link: oneforall.com] , the code for a Sony DVD is 533. The code for a NAD tuner is 320. Direct TV is reported as 566 in this thread - [Link: remotecentral.com] . Additional codes are 143, 855, 392 if 566 doesn't work.

The programming guide for your remote is at - [Link: oneforall.com] . The magic button has the same function as the setup button, but the 8090 uses the LCD for instructions instead of the number codes used by some of the less expensive models.

The DVD code will probably need to be assigned to the AUX button. Once you get the basic codes working, e-mail UEIC on the same web page for your advanced codes.

Mike,

Thank you for your help as well as Rob's very useful site about the All for One controls. All for One should pay Rob to use some of the info from his site.

Now that I've gotten the hang of things, all is now kosher.

Question, how do I make the volume lock feature work on my DVD? Use the theatre select?

Are there only 2 macro buttons I can use on this URC-8090?

My Home Producer 8 is at the service center getting a new device code loaded so I can't test anything now. The instructions say that DVD isn't supported in the volume lock feature. You could use the Home Theater mode - OR -

You could use the Key Mover feature to copy the main volume controls to the DVD or use the advanced codes (when you get them from UEIC) to program the DVD volume to control your receiver volume.

There are only two macro buttons. You could possibly use one of the 10 timers for regular events to simulate another macro button.
