OK, I finally broke down and bought the replacement for my AV producer 8, The same remote but slightly upgraded Model the URC-8800B01. While at the store I happen to pick up a Sony SVR2000 TiVo system. Until the new pronto comes out, I would like to use this remote. I could not find to much info about codes in the forum on this model. Anyone have TiVo Sony codes for this remote?

You went in the store to buy a remote and walked out with a TiVo, now that's what I call "impulse buying"! But, have no fear, you will love your new purchase, I have ReplayTV and it has totally changed the way I watch TV.

Anyway, to the point in hand, there isn't a code for the TiVo pre-installed in the Prod 8, but one of the reasons these remotes are so damn expensive is because you can send them in and have codes added, and they send them back real quick too.

Make sure that you have codes for the rest of your gear before you send the remote in so that you can get everything added all at once. Hey, maybe you should simply upgrade the old Prod 8 and return the new one. The only real improvement between the urc-8800 and the urc-8080 is the learning feature, which IMHO is next to useless the way it was implemented in the urc-8800.

I can't seem to find anyinformation about where to send it, I get a bad link (html not found) The other remote broke! It was an impulse buy!! I just wish they had a receiver with 5.1 built in that did not have to be used with DirecTV .. Maybe soon?

You need to call them first to get a return auth number, and you can get the address from them at that time. The phone number is (330) 405 8655.

Be sure to tell them exactly what you want loaded, I have heard of people with Philips TiVo's just saying TiVo and getting the Sony codes added.
