Does anyone out there have enough knowledge in electronics to let me know how to keep the backlight on longer? Maybe a resistor or capacitor change?

Quite sure that this is controlled by the firmware, not via analog components.

I notice a slight buzz or hum coming from the 1994 when the backlighting is on. Has anyone else noticed this?
