Hello
My 9800 fell dead 2 days ago. I was trying to program it and the LCD screen went blank and the Blue backlighting stopped working. But take the batteries out and put them back in and the LED blinks twice. Random pushing of keys will result in very infrequent blinks of the LED as well.
Any ideas on how to get this puppy alive again?

That sounds like something you should try calling the UEIC helpdesk about. (The phone number should be in your manual)

I did. They told me they didn't work on LCD display remotes. They told me to take it back to the retailer and try to get support that way. What a rip.
