The mute button on my Cinema 7 IQ has died after less than a year's usage... And all I can find in my local area is the non-programmable model. No luck at Sears. Anyone know where I can find a replacement online?

Some yahoo stores sell them and the BestBuy online does too.
You'll find better deals for the Cinema 7 at the yahoo stores.

If the reason the MUTE button dies is because of over-use, you can probably fix it yourself, check out the "worn out buttons" section of the C7 manual on my site.

J and R Music world (www.jandr.com) sells the Cinema7 IQ for 24.95.

Thanks Rob, for the the advice about the mute button (and everything else on your fine site!)

That is indeed the problem: mute button overuse!

I bought the 15-1994 a day or two ago, and though I prefer the layout and lighting, it has a significantly weaker range and must be pointed exactly at my system, in contrast with the Cinema 7 IQ, which I can bounce from almost anywhere in the house...

I tried prying mine open, and found that it takes either better tools or more dexterity than I could muster... I may try again before buying another, but I'm scratching up the sides pretty good in the meantime.

Thanks to all for the above online suggestions!
