the code you need is the button labelled "adjust". For further info you should probably link over to the Samsung web site at http://www.709online.com

Is it me or the dklf RS15-1994 remote is not responding to the codes set for my Samsung 709? I've tried the labelled adjust code it doesn't work. I've tried the 709 and hifi, it's not working. The tuner 121, the code 078,079 nada. Do I have to press Aux,P, 121,P, then a code? I did and it doesn't work. Is there another solution?

MEG,
First off, when you replay to this message, please do so in this thread, even if you post your reply elsewhere, I will post my reply here.

Anyway, I am having difficulty understanding which poart of the process that you are having a hard time understanding.

1) Have you successfully programed the receiver device code 0121 to the AUX1 button? (Note, there is a leading zero so the code is 0121, not 121).

2) Once code 0121 is programmed, have you been successful in programming the regular DVD controls, such as PLAY, REW, etc, using the advanced codes listed on my site?

3) If it's so far so good, then I assume your only problem is the adjust button. If this is the case, this is not a question best answered in this forum. This forum is for the remote itself, I can tell you how to program the 15-1994 but I don't have a Samsung DVD player, there are web sites and forums dedicated to the Samsung 709, where you will find many people who are experts on this particular DVD player.

Please visit the Samsung forum at [Link: members.boardhost.com]

The codes that are listed on your advanced codes page are not working at all. The process that it took me to program my RS15-1994 to my Samsung 709 was this Aux1,P(blink twice),992,Vcr,Aux1,P(blink twice)& 0573 and then it worked. But after that the advanced codes are not working at all? Why?

I hope that this might mean something to all who have a Samsung 709 DVD that is Korean made. THe hack does not work using AMP (Tuner 121 or 0121) to the AUX button on the RS15-1994 remote then Pressing P to blink twice. Then to use the code 078 or 079. This process no matter how many times will not work. the answer is after you program the remote to the Samsung 709 to the Aux button, you then press P (let it blink 2x) and then use the code 078 or 079 to crack the code.
Program the RS15-1994 to the Samsung 709 like this:
1. Press Aux 2.Green P Blink 2x 3. press 992
4. (press Vcr) to Aux, P blink twice then 0573
5. Now you press Green P blink 2x
6. and code 078 is a cold start or (079) where adjust will eject the DVD tray. Close it using the Samsung remote. Press setup go to parental (5) the password is 7777 change the password to 3521. Then the rating level to level 1.
7. Hit return until you see Samsung DVD. Turn it off for a few seconds then turn it on again. Place a DVD in the player that will cause you to put your password
in. When I put in the DVD Stanely Kubrick's Dr. Strangelove I had to override it and it played.

MEG, can you read? Did you read the web page that I pointed you to? I don't know where you got that 0573 code from.

First off, you are not using a DVD code you are using a tuner code, and the code is 0121.

So, first off check that you haven't re-assigned the AUX1 button to something else, like this....

[P **] 992 ** AUX1 AUX1 **

then program device code 0121....

AUX1 [P **] 0121 **

then program each of the advanced codes to the button if your choice, I'll do the POWER button...

AUX1 [P **] 994 ** P 070 POWER **

Now, if you still don't get it, just give it up!

How does Macrovision stay completely off when recording to VHS/VCR? Everytime I begin to record from my Samsung 709 DVD player to my Vcr, Macrovision or crazy squigglely lines, then clearity and so forth trade and it's unbearable to sit and watch it. I want to know how to keep Macrovision from disturbing my video coping? How can I do this? Because everytime I switch my Samsung 709 off Macrovision is back? What should I do?
