I can't get it to accept the codes listed on their web site (0491 or 0502). Am I doing something wrong? The codes for my other eqipment entered fine even though none of the codes worked my cd player (Pioneer PD4700).

Larry,

I just bought a Sherwood RVD9090R and I ran into the same problem with the Radio Shack 15-1994.

Have you figured anything out?

Thanks.

No, I tried lots of codes but none worked so I learned as many as possible and remapped volume controls to the other devices.

Larry,

I wound up doing the same as you.

I also (just recently) purchased the Cinema 7 IQ (urc-7800). Guess what? Code 0491 works! I am going to check out the advanced function codes.

Larry,

I was successful in programming all the advanced codes into the Cinema 7 IQ for my Sherwood RVD-9090R HT receiver. Let me know if you want them!

057 - arrow down
059 - cd
101 - test tone
102 - vcr1
103 - sleep
104 - enter
105 - osd
111 - tuner
117 - arrow up
121 - pwr on/off
123 - tuner
170 - vol up
171 - mute
182 - tape mon
185 - arrow right
186 - dvd
187 - tuner (fm)
228 - dsp mode
229 - pro logic
231 - vcr2
233 - display
234 - rear delay
245 - arrow left

Good Luck.

Thanks Greg! I'm Glad I did a search on this! I just bought the same Sherwood receiver and need to buy and program a universal remote sounds like the cinema 7 will work nicely for me!
Thanks
Jeff

Hey Jeff,
Remember, you should be able to use these same codes on any other "One For All" or "Radio Shack" remote, so find the one that best suits your purpose. i would recommend checking out the 15-1994 at Radio Shack also.

Has anyone gotten 0491 to work on the 15-1994? I've tried the Aux button as well as the CD and can't get it to take the code. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Sorry to say, Dutt, but the 0491 code is missing in action on the 1994. At some point I hope to compile a list of which codes are on which remotes, but I guess we can add 0491 to the non-1994 list.

You missed the following (for the 8090)
180 Channel Select
223 Delay Time (same as 234?)
123 is actually P Scan (which does switch to tuner)

Here is another one (for the 6095R)

420-Adjust (used with delay)
