If you want total flexibility, I would recomend going with the Pronto. I don't know for sure what the "street" price is going to be for the Mosaic. Etronixs.com (the Remote Central sponsors) have it listed for $381.34, but their prices are generally quite a bit more expensive than most of the other etailers, so that might not be a good guide. The official price for the Pronto is $399, but there are many places that sell it for around $299 (I got mine for $279).
With the Pronto, you can totally customise everything. You can totally redesign the buttons and the screens that contain them, plus you can share your files, so you if you find that someone else has already designed a configuration that you like, you can simply take it and customize it to suit your needs.
The Pronto doesn't come with any device codes pre-loaded, except for a few Philips codes, so you will have to learn everything from your original remotes, unless you find files here at Remote Central. The Mosaic will come with a large device code library, and you will be able to add new device codes over the internet. It has limited learning memory compared to the Pronto, the word I hear is that you can learn up to 60 buttons.
I doubt that you'll be able to customise it that much, but to be honest, I haven't read the manual yet. You can get the manual from the Mosaic web site:
http://mosaic.rcinfo.com/Here's a link to the manual itself, it's in PDF format and it's a very large file (around 10 meg, I think) so it'll take a while to download:
